Sarah and Rob’s Glebe Bathroom
Happy New Year!
Sarah and Rob live in a beautiful old home in the Glebe. During the next three weeks we’re renovating their bathroom and making it bigger by taking three feet of space from the adjacent guest room.
Thanks so much to previous clients Ted and Jacqueline (for whom we did this kitchen reno and this bathroom reno) for recommending Fresh Reno Ottawa to Sarah and Rob.
Day 1: Bathroom before.

They just don’t build ’em like they used to. The walls in this Glebe home are 2″ thick. Most homes these days are 1/2″ drywall. It’s day 2 of this bathroom reno and demolition continues…
Day 6: With framing and plumbing done, and the spray insulation installed, we just had our first inspection from the city. Passed with flying colours as usual. We have a 100% pass rate.
Day 9: The floor tiles are down.
Day 10. Tiles are going up in the bathroom. All walls are getting tiled top to bottom. No paint, just wall tiles all around. It’s looking fantastic.
Day 11: Floor to ceiling tile is done throughout the entire bathroom. It’s looks clean, modern and so European. Now to give them a new window.
Day 13: The new window is trimmed in tile on the sides and top, with a marble ledge.
Sunday: Making Sarah and Rob’s bathroom door into a pocket door. In my carport in -15C.
Nearly done… just to hang a few accessories.
